Comprehensive Review of the ADG Code

The National Transport Commission is conducting its first comprehensive review of the Australian Dangerous Goods Code in 15 years.

The Australian Dangerous Goods (ADG) Code outlines safety requirements for the transport of dangerous goods by road and rail which is essential to industry including manufacturing and energy. After 21 months of review and 12 discussion papers, the National Transport Commission (NTC) has drafted an updated ADG Code that is intended to address gaps, incorporate best practice, and manage new risks. The NTC has also created this helpful video explaining the review.

To gather feedback, the NTC has released a Consultation Regulatory Impact Statement and has invited public input. To learn more and have your say visit the NTC website.
