Changes to Dangerous Substance Licenses (South Australia)
SafeWork South Australia has recently announced changes to their Dangerous Substance licensing regime following the introduction of an online application form.
A Dangerous Substance License is required for the commercial storage of certain dangerous substances (known as dangerous goods in other jurisdictions). Dangerous substances requiring a licence include LP gas (LPG), flammable liquids, toxic substances and corrosive substances when particular thresholds are exceeded.
The 4000+ existing licence-holders will be directed to the online system iApply from 8 November 2022.
